OUR WORK
Providing landscaping services across Oxfordshire and the neighbouring regions, Infinity Landscapes and Design has an impressive portfolio of work, encompassing gardens large and small. Below we have listed three of our favourite transformations, but there are many more projects in our Gallery.
Clanfield, November 2023
This beautiful garden was a labour of love both for our team, and the clients whose input was vital to the design. Drawing on elements of Victorian-era public parks, with formal lawn areas and tall standard-style streetlamps, sweeping self-binding gravel paths lead through this Dickensian fantasy to large outbuildings at the far end. Cast iron fencing, herringbone block paving, and the sash window on the seating shelter call to mind the industrial aesthetic of the Nineteenth Century, reminding us that gardens and parks were vital oases in the urban landscape. The curvaceous paths, Indian sandstone patio, and our trademark slat fence panels ensure provide a contemporary twist, providing a clean backdrop against which the classic detailing can be appreciated. While the formal lines make this narrow space seem impressive in the daytime, it is at night when it truly comes into its own, a wonderful space for entertaining and relaxing.
Kidlington, January 2024
Small gardens deserve the same attention and skill as vast landscapes. Through dividing this compact space into distinct usable areas - decking, pathways, lawns, and planting - we feel we have demonstrated the impact that careful design can have on even the tightest of spaces. Our trademark slat fencing panels - an Infinity exclusive built on-site - we brightened up the boundaries of the garden, making the space seem larger and more open. The small lawn, near planting, and composite decking provide distinctive areas for entertaining and relaxing, while the custom water feature adds sound and movement to the space. A unique feature of this garden is a hedgehog highway, enabling some of our clients pricklier visitors to get across the space without interrupting their ability to explore their territorial ranges and to get to hibernation sites in time for winter.
Sutton Courtenay, May 2024
This remarkable transformation demonstrates the value of adding different textures to large gardens to break up the space and ensure flow throughout the garden. Working with so many different materials - porcelain paving, block edging, steel edging, gravel, lawns, planting, slatted fencing, timberwork pergolas, resin-bound paths and herringbone paving - required us to dust off all of our skills, but the end result was definitely worth the effort. The central timber pergola will become a canopy of green when the climbing plants colonise the wires stretched across the frame. The circle of resin-bound surface will host a fire-pit, immediately visible from the house, and providing an elegant seating area for cool Summer evenings. Stepping stones laid into the gravel provide variety and interest, while the formal patio and lawn give clean lines and define the space. Already a delightful space, this garden will be elevated yet further as the planting matures and takes over more of the space, breaking up the formal areas and providing a rich and vibrant backdrop to the cleaner lines.
